Guides to Staying Safe during an Emergency

In Rim Country, we face several situations we need to think about in advance. These include Power Outages, Snow Storms, Flooding, etc. Most of us that have lived here for any amount of time know all too well that these things can happen and happen quickly. So, being prepared is the key to keeping these situations from becoming something more than just a nuisance.

In fact, while I was posting this web page, the Internet went out and I had to wait 6 HOURS for it to come back! Just another thing to consider.

FEMA Operates a website, Ready.gov, that offers a ton of useful information and several guides to help you think about, and plan for, possible emergencies we might have to deal with.

Here are four of their guides that may be of particular interest to residents of Pine and Strawberry.

If you run a B&B or Short-Term Rental, you might want to think about downloading/printing these out and sharing them with your guests.
